2017 Senior Beach Nationals - North Bay, ON
Beach nationals are open events hosted in two major categories, Youth and Senior. This event focuses on providing a competitive environment for athletes and allow them to compete against other provinces for the title of National Champion. The senior events are open to Competitive and Elite players from across the country. In addition to providing adult beach players with the opportunity to compete against other competitive players from across the country; participants will also have the opportunity to interact with members of the Beach National Team coaching staff. This is a great opportunity for up and coming players to gain valuable input from our High Performance coaching staff and to also fight for the title of National Champions!

Parking is free on both Saturday and Sunday, please be sure to park in the designated areas on Thursday and Friday in order to avoid getting a parking ticket.

All tournament schedules will be available online after check in has finished Thursday, August 17th 2017. Match-ups and game times throughout the weekend can be found on www.iset.net.
- All matches have pre-assigned start times. No match is to start prior to the pre-assigned start time.
- Should a court run late, the next match shall start 10 minutes after the end of the previous match.
Post Event Survey

Team Check-in & Players Meeting
It is the responsibility of each team to ensure that they attend the team check-in and players meeting.
Team check-in will take place on Thursday, August 17th at 2pm-8pm. Please note that all athletes must provide proof of age when checking in (birth certificate, driver’s license, health card, or passport). Photocopies are accepted.
The Player's meeting will take place at the beach on the first day of competition, Friday August 18th before the first match. Time to be determined.
The meeting will include the following:
- Rule clarifications
- Tournament format (start times, number of matches/day etc.)
- Tournament schedule
- Introduction and review of the role of the Tournament Committee
- Any new policies or regulations
- Practice Courts
- Practice courts will be available Thursday, August 17th from 2pm to 8pm on a first come, first serve basis.
Post event survey
Players, coaches, parents and spectators will be asked to complete a post event survey. Links will be posted here at the completion of the event.
BBQ food and drinks will be available for purchase on site. There are also multiple food options within short walking distance from the venue.
There is $10,000 in prize money to be won!

Senior Player Handbook
The Senior Handbook is where you will find information on the guidelines that are specific to Volleyball Canada's Beach National Championships. This handbook should provide you with all necessary information you will need to know before attending the event.
The Senior Beach Nationals Points Grid is now available. Points are calculated 365 days from Nationals (including 2016 Nationals). Seeding will be sent to all athletes to confirm points before the schedule is posted.

Code of Conduct
The purpose of this Code of Conduct and Ethics is to ensure a safe and positive environment within Volleyball Canada programs, activities and events, by making all individuals aware that there is an expectation of appropriate behavior, consistent with the values of Volleyball Canada, at all times.

Suspended Play Policy
Volleyball Canada has a suspended play policy in the event of severe weather during one of our beach national championships. Please be aware of this policy prior to the event.
Please consult the 2017-2020 FIVB Beach Rulebook for information on the rules that Volleyball Canada implements for all beach events. Please also consult the Rule Variations that affect Volleyball Canada beach competitions.
