Parking

Parking is available free of charge in the Sensplex parking lot. If full, there is ample street parking on Shefford Road.

Schedules

Beach National Championships is a 3 day event with an additional day required for check in. Below you will find a general event schedule.

Day 1 – Thursday August 17th: Check In and Practice Times
Day 2 – Friday August 18th: Pool Play
Day 3 – Saturday August 19th: Power Pools
Day 4 – Sunday August 20th: Playoffs

 

Event Information

Team Check-in & Players Meeting

It is the responsibility of each team to ensure that they attend the team check-in and players meeting.

Check-in

Team check-in will take place on Thursday, August 17th at 12-8pm.  Please note that all athletes must provide proof of age when checking in (birth certificate, driver’s license, health card, or passport). Photocopies are accepted.

Players meeting

The Player's meeting will take place at the beach on the first day of competition, Friday August 18th before the first match. Time to be determined.

The meeting will include the following:

  • Rule clarifications
  • Tournament format (start times, number of matches/day etc.)
  • Tournament schedule
  • Introduction and review of the role of the Tournament Committee
  • Any new policies or regulations

Practice Courts

Practice courts will be available Thursday, August 17th from 12pm to 5pm on a first come, first serve basis.

Youth Player Handbook

The Youth Player Handbook is where you will find information on the guidelines that are specific to Volleyball Canada's Beach National Championships. This handbook should provide you with all necessary information you will need to know before attending the event.

Eligibility Requirements

Please refer to the Eligibility Requirements document for details on the age categories that will be in place for the National Championships as well as requirements each team must have in order to participate in the event.

Code of Conduct

The purpose of this Code of Conduct and Ethics is to ensure a safe and positive environment within Volleyball Canada programs, activities and events, by making all individuals aware that there is an expectation of appropriate behavior, consistent with the values of Volleyball Canada, at all times.

Concussion Policy

Please review the VC Concussion Policy and Protocol to see the measures that we will be implementing at all Beach National Championships.

Suspended Play Policy

Volleyball Canada has a suspended play policy in the event of severe weather during one of our beach national championships. Please be aware of this policy prior to the event.

Please consult the 2017-2020 FIVB Beach Rulebook for information on the rules that Volleyball Canada implements for all beach events. Please also consult the Rule Variations that affect Volleyball Canada beach competitions.
