Beach team induction camp wraps up

The 2019 senior and “next gen” Canadian beach team athletes gathered in Toronto last week for this year’s induction camp. The week included information sharing, testing and consultations with IST staff, seminars and outfitting.

Senior athletes include four teams (two men's and two women’s teams) vying for Olympic qualification. The two women’s teams are currently ranked number one (Bansley and Wilkerson) and number three (Humana-Paredes and Pavan) in the world.

More on Olympic qualification:

The next-gen group includes experienced and up-and-coming athletes who will represent Volleyball Canada on the world stage this year at NORCECA and FIVB events. See full list of athletes below.

The induction week concluded with a beach alumni event, which honoured our Olympians.
