Canada wins three medals in Global Cup World Championships

October 28, 2019: Team Canada is coming home decorated in hardware after winning a silver medal and two bronze medals at the Global Cups World Senior Championships in St. George, Utah and Loutraki, Greece.

Team Canada Men 45s won the silver medal after falling to Team Norway in the final game of the tournament. In the age bracket up, the Canadian Men 50s team came away with the bronze medal. Team USA won gold with a win over Sweden.

On the women’s side, Team Canada Women 50s also won bronze, defeating Costa Rica as well for the final spot on the podium. Team USA added another gold with a win over Team Germany.

The Canadian Masters National program is currently looking for players for the 2020 Global World Cup Championship, which will take place in Greece and the USA. Greece will host the Men and Women's 45s and 60s in Loutraki from August 27 to 30, while the Men 50s will once again be in St. George, Utah from October 12 from 15.
