Masters Update: Team Canada 2018 Identification and 2017 Results

The Team Canada Masters National Team program is looking for players to represent Canada in the 2018 Global Cup World Championships in Brazil, Greece and USA in the following categories and dates: 

  • Men 40's Brazil : June 30 to July 3,2018
  • Men 45's Greece : Aug. 23 to Aug. 26, 2018
  • Men 50's USA: Oct 15 to Oct 18, 2018
  • Men 60's Greece: Aug. 23 to Aug. 26, 2018

 

  • Women 45's Greece: Aug. 23 to Aug. 26, 2018
  • Women 55's Brazil: June 30 to July 3, 2018
  • Women 60's Greece: Aug. 23 to Aug. 26, 2018

Here are the results and team members from this year’s Global Cup World Championships. Canada captured one silver medal and one bronze medal:

Team Canada Men 45's placed sixth (Italy won gold). Canada’s team consisted of  Brock Blomquist, Greg Bratton, Tom Elser, Ralph Krawelitzki, Jerome Linnell, Martin Noskey, Dale Oleschko, Steve Oliver, Mike Sieben and Paul Zonneveld. 

Team Canada Women 40's picked up the silver medal, while Brazil won gold: Congrats to Izabelle Berger, Melanie Desrochers, Nadine Martin, Isabelle Menard, Caroline Radigois, Dawn Collins Weidman. (in photo below)

Team Canada Women 50's earned bronze (USA took gold). The team was Catherine Carter, Hatsue Chow, Suzie Cooke, Monica Hitchcock, Bonnie MacRae Kilb, Karin Maessen, Susan Moncks, Denise Myhre, Michele Prince and Sherry Saxton. (in photo above)
