FIVB Women World Grand Prix 2017
The FIVB World Grand Prix will take place at the Richmond Oval, in Richmond, BC from July 21 to July 23. During this weekend, the city will host six matches among four teams – Canada, Germany, Peru and Czech Republic.
Competition
The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix is the premier annual women’s volleyball tournament with a total of 32 participating teams in 2017.
The 32 teams have been split accross three groups with 12 teams competing in groupe 1 and 2 and 8 in group 3.
The preliminary round will be played over three weekends in four-team pools with the top 3 of the combined standings plus de Finals’hosts making it to the Final four.
Canada women’s team is part of the Preliminary Round Group 2 which is composed of 12 teams but only four teams will play in Richmond.
