Volleyball Canada is currently accepting registration for the following camps, clinics and learning opportunities.

March Break Beach Camp: March 11 - 15, 2024 (Toronto)

Volleyball Canada is excited to announce the return of its March Break Beach Camp. Hosted at the National Team Training Centre by Beach Next Gen head coaches, the five-day beach volleyball camp is designed to teach athletes new techniques, improve existing skills, and raise beach volleyball IQ.

In addition to on-sand training, athletes can expect to participate in several off-sand sessions to enhance their performance and take their athleticism to the next level.

Camp Features:

· Coaching from current National Team staff, athletes and alumni
· Special sessions led by Team Canada staff on: 
       · Fitness
       · Nutrition
       · Mental Health
·  End of camp tournament with prizes
·  Mikasa VLS300 ball for each registrant
·  Onsite AT for athlete taping

 

Location: Toronto, ON

Venue: Volleyball Canada Beach High-Performance Centre, Downsview Park, North York

Dates: March 11th - 15th, 2024

Program Hours: 9 am – 4 pm

Eligibility Requirements: 13U – 16U club-level volleyball players (co-ed program). 

Cost: $515.00

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 14 days prior to the beginning of the program will be provided with a refund less a $50 administration fee. Cancellations received with less than 14 days notice will be refunded less a 50% administration fee.

Registration:  Registration will open on November 15th on Volleyball Canada's registration system (Sportlomo). Limited spots are available so register early to secure your place.

Summer Beach Volleyball Camps (Toronto)

VC Summer Beach Camps

VC’s co-ed recreational summer camps are for youth aged 9 – 16 years. They are designed to help campers develop their volleyball skills while promoting fitness and fun. All skill levels are welcome. No previous experience is required.

Beach volleyball is a great non-contact sport, and through our camps, your child will be encouraged to make friends, develop skills, problem-solve and enhance their physical literacy. We aim to ensure your child has the skills and confidence to enjoy volleyball for life.

What to Expect:

·        Beach Volleyball Drills & Play (2s, 4s, 6s)

·        Other Sports & Activities (could include: soccer, beach tennis, spikeball)

·        Free T-shirt

·        6:1 coach-to-camper ratio

Cost: $315 - $415 *4-day camps prorated

VC Combine: (Various Dates)

The Volleyball Canada (VC) Combine, provides a high-performance testing experience for volleyball athletes in Canada. This new event offers an opportunity for athletes across the country to complete the same tests as our National Team athletes.

The VC Combine will provide athletes with a chance to see how they compare to their peers and to those at the national team level. In addition to providing athletes with performance statistics, a Canadian database will be established to monitor and track the evolution of athletes throughout their volleyball careers.

Please note, registration will open two months prior to the Combines. In the event of insufficient participation, the Combines will be canceled one month prior to the scheduled date.

Athlete timeslots will be sent to registered emails minimum 4 days prior to the Combine.

RBC Training Ground: (Various Dates)

Canadian athletes between the ages of 14 and 25 have the chance to be scouted by nine Team Canada sports for free, including Volleyball Canada.

Sitting Volleyball NextGen ID camps

  • September 23 (10am-12pm, 4pm-6pm)
  • Location: Abilities Centre, Durham, Ontario

 

  • September 24 (11am-1pm, 5pm-7pm) 
  • Cégep André-Laurendeau, Montreal, Quebec

 
Led by Women's Head Coach Nicole Ban, as well as national and regional coaches. Cost is $25, includes a t-shirt and two sessions. Open to 14+, must have a classifiable disability and/or impairment. Register now

Community Coach Workshops

The Community Coach Workshop is designed to support coaches in delivering Smashball programs to develop players in the Fundamentals (6-8) and Learn to Train (9-12) stages of the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model. The workshop is a 3-hour National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) live/synchronous online course that provides:

  • Interactive exercises, video demonstrations, and quizzes to support learning and program delivery.
  • Instruction on how to deliver the Smashball game using materials included in Volleyball Canada’s free Smashball Trainer App.
  • 80-page Activity Bank.
  • 5 Professional Development (PD) points for NCCP certified coaches.
  • The NCCP status of: “Trained” Community Volleyball Coach.

The Smashball Trainer App provides expert lesson plans with lots of video to make running a practice or gym class easy and fun. Produced by Volleyball Canada and based on the proven teaching methodology of Teaching Games for Understanding, kids will be kept engaged and active throughout a game or practice. Setup support and official rules for competitions are also provided.
