U17 Girls Indoor - Program Info
Volleyball Canada is pleased to open the identification process for the 2025 Volleyball Canada u17 Program (Born 2010 or later). Volleyball Canada is looking to select 12 athletes with the attributes consistent with high performance and the potential to compete for Team Canada Senior Women’s team in the future.
Athlete Identification:
The selection process will be hosted virtually on the GMTM platform. Athletes will be prompted to submit basic physical testing data, a highlight video and fullgame/set footage which will be reviewed by the selection committee. The 2025 virtual selection process is OPEN to all eligible athletes.
Identification for this team will occur through this GMTM process as well as a wider identification process that includes NEP ID camps, Red & White applications, and Club National Championships.
Applicants MUST:
-Be female
-Be born in 2010 or later
Selection Timeline:
August 30: GMTM platform open for submissions
September 17: Athlete submissions due
September 30: Athletes notified of selection
Due to the timing of the event, we do not anticipate a pre-camp prior to departure. We are currently awaiting final confirmation from NORCECA regarding the host city in Costa Rica. Once confirmed, we will be able to provide more precise program details, but at this time, we estimate the program cost to be approximately $3,500-$4,000, plus travel to Toronto, which we anticipate will be the departure city.
General Information
The purpose of the Age Group programs is to identify, select and train a group of athletes who have future Senior National Team potential. The programs are also designed to identify an athlete pool to continue to develop through advanced training opportunities in future programs.
The U17 Program is for athletes born in 2010.
