April 11, 2022: Volleyball Canada is excited to announce that the 2022 Youth Beach National Championships, presented by Mikasa Canada, are expanding to include a 14U to 16U event in Vancouver, August 26-28 at Spanish Banks Beach.

“We are looking forward to bringing Beach Nationals back to the West Coast and back to the Spanish Banks,” said Sandra de Graaff, director of domestic events for Volleyball Canada. “Heading back to BC, we’re expanding the competitive opportunity for athletes in these age categories.”

British Columbia last hosted Beach Nationals in 2015 in Parksville, after being held on the Spanish Banks in 2013.

"We are excited to be bringing the Youth Beach National Championships back to Vancouver for 2022," said Adrian Goodmurphy, director of operations for Volleyball BC. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome athletes from across the country back to the West Coast."

Similar to the 2022 Beach Nationals in Toronto, this event will include a Provincial Champions Clinic and skills competitions.

Registration for both Toronto and Vancouver Beach Nationals will open on June 14, 2022.
