JUNE 03: Canada opened with a 1-3 (26-28, 25-22, 18-25, 18-25) loss to Germany on the opening day of Volleyball Nations League at the Centre Videotron in Quebec City.

The match was the final contest of the day that saw USA defeat Ukraine 3-0; and Japan beat France 3-1 in Quebec.

Tomorrow, Canada faces Olympic silver medalists USA at 8 pm, and earlier Ukraine meets Germany at 4:30 pm ET.
