Beach Volleyball: U19 and FISU trials update

June 11, 2024: Volleyball Canada ran a 2024 U19 Beach Volleyball World Championship and 2024 FISU University Championship trials this past weekend at Ashbridges Bay, Toronto. 

The U19 WCHs will be held in Shangluo, China (August 27 - September 1). Canada will have at least one team per gender represented.

The winners of the U19 trials:
Men:
1st – Brandon Burnside / Mason Doering (AB) (21-13, 21-17)
2nd – Chris Tautrims / Brecken Morrison (ON)
3rd  – Cole Linskill / Hank Heider (ON)

Women:
1st – Calinda Kok / Ofure Odigie (ON) (21-14, 21-11)
2nd – Ruby Cochrane / Sophie Hancock (ON)
3rd – Emma-Joy Cudmore / Autumn Mikel (ON)

Men:
1st – Steve Abrams / Jonny Pickett (ON) (21-7, 22-20)
2nd – Cameron Chadwick / Robert Kemp (ON)
3rd – Conaire Taub / Nicholas Taub (AB)

Women:
1st – Emma Kunaus / Maya McNabney (ON) (19-21, 21-16, 15-9)
2nd – Emma Braticevic / Sophia Hladyniuk (ON)
3rd  – Alisa Gavva / Cameron Knifton (ON)
