Volleyball Canada announces 2026 Youth National Championship dates

June 27, 2025 – After another record-setting year, Volleyball Canada is thrilled to announce the dates and host cities for the 2026 Youth National Championships. With over 1,900 teams anticipated, the 2026 Nationals is on track to become the largest youth volleyball event in Canadian history.

The 14U Nationals will kick off the national championship season from May 1 to 3, with events taking place in Moncton, NB and Ottawa, ON. The action then moves west to Edmonton, AB at the Saville Community Sports Centre.

New for 2026, Mississauga, ON will host a tournament for 14U Boys and 15U Boys at the International Centre, before the action shifts west for a two-week celebration in Calgary, AB, where the newly expanded BMO Centre will welcome age groups 15U Girls to 18U across four events.

“Calgary has long been an important partner for Volleyball Canada, and we’re incredibly excited to bring our flagship national championship back to the city,” said Sandra de Graaff, Director of Domestic Competitions at Volleyball Canada. “We’ve been breaking participation records for more than five years now, and with the upgraded BMO Centre and unwavering support from our volleyball community, we’re poised to deliver another unforgettable Nationals experience for athletes, families, and fans alike.”

Calgary has been a longtime home for Nationals, hosting events for over 20 years.  The 2026 edition will mark a new milestone, as the first Nationals held in the newly expanded convention centre—the largest of its kind west of Toronto—setting the stage for a monumental sporting event.

“The Volleyball Canada National Championships is a premier event, and Tourism Calgary is thrilled to be welcoming this large-scale event to our city. Our ongoing partnership with Volleyball Canada has afforded us the opportunity to have a front-row seat to some of the best competition in North America, and this is no exception,” said Carson Ackroyd, Senior Vice President of Sales at Tourism Calgary. “Not only will Calgary welcome athletes, coaches, and fans with our signature hospitality, but the event will generate significant economic opportunity for our 1,150 partner businesses, with an estimated $22 million in direct economic impact anticipated.”

Volleyball Canada extends its gratitude to all the local partners, venues, and municipalities helping make the 2026 Nationals possible.
