Volleyball Canada’s "Sport for All" Grant

Volleyball Canada has received a Community Sport for All Initiative grant from Sport Canada. The grant provides funding and direct volleyball services to Indigenous communities in Quebec, including in Nunavik. The funding will be allocated to communities who wish to receive equipment, as well as training and learning opportunities from experienced coaches. The communities may also be offered volleyball programming in two main age categories: 8 to 12 years and 13 to 18 years of age.

“Volleyball Canada is honoured and excited to get this project underway in communities in the new year. Bringing the joy of sport to these communities will be very rewarding for all involved and we’re looking forward to creating a legacy that will hopefully continue well into the future.”

Mark Eckert — President & CEO, Volleyball Canada

Volleyball Canada is partnering with Quebec RCMP Indigenous Liaison Officers and the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) to support the growth of volleyball programming in Indigenous Communities.

Watch for more information and updates in early 2023 as the program rolls out.
