Men’s NEP Selection Now Underway

Opportunity to train in a high-performance environment for those identified

Jan 29, 2024: Men’s indoor athletes who meet the criteria may now apply for Volleyball Canada’s 2024 National Excellence Program (NEP), designed for provincially or nationally identified athletes in Grades 10 to 12 (or equivalent).

The NEP will help prepare athletes to continue their development toward the National Senior Team Program and/or playing professional volleyball. It offers individual technical and tactical skill development as well as team play refinement. Athletes will receive sport science and sport medicine services, dispensed by leading practitioners in a holistic high-performance environment. NEP athletes, through training and exhibition competition, are also introduced to leading international volleyball programs and clubs.

The program runs from September to December 2024 in Gatineau, Quebec. Those selected to the NEP are committed to an investment in their future as an athlete competing on the world stage. Volleyball Canada will identify and invite 16 athletes by the end of May 2024

Athletes register on the GMTM platform and create a personal profile including physical stats, a highlight video, as well as additional information.
