Volleyball Canada Launches Identification Process for the U19 and U21 Men

Volleyball Canada has launched the virtual identification process for the 2025 Team Canada Men’s U19 and U21 programs. This initiative provides a platform for athletes across Canada to showcase their potential to be part of the men’s national team program.

Team Canada Men’s U19 Program (Head coach Dan Ota)
Designed for athletes born in 2007 or later, this program aims to identify players who will be invited to attend the U19 Selection Camp, scheduled from June 29 to July 5, 2025 (location TBD), and potentially compete at the following events:

• The 2025 U19 Pan Am Cup in Mexico (July 6 - 14, 2025)
• The 2025 U19 FIVB World Championships in Uzbekistan (July 24 - August 3, 2025)

Selection Timeline:
• February 24: GMTM platform open for athlete submissions.
• March 15: Submission deadline
• Week of March 29: Notification of selection
• June 29 - July 5: U19 Selection Camp
• July 6 - 14: U19 Pan Am Cup
• July 24 - August 3: U19 World Championships

Team Canada Men’s U21 Program (Head coach Chris Voth)
Targeted at athletes born in 2005 or later, the U21 program offers a full-time training environment focused on technical and tactical development. Selected athletes will participate in the U21 Selection Camp from June 9 to June 15, 2025, at the Centre Sportif de Gatineau, QC, preparing to potentially compete at the following:

• The 2025 U21 Pan Am Cup in Calgary, Canada (August 3–11, 2025)
• The 2025 U21 FIVB World Championships in China (August 21–31, 2025)

Selection Timeline:
• March 3: GMTM platform opens for athlete submissions
• March 24: Submission deadline
• Week of April 5: Notification of selection
• June 9 - 15: U21 Selection Camp
• August 3 - 11: U21 Pan Am Cup
• August 21 - 31: U21 FIVB World Championships
