“Representing Canada meant everything to me, it’s why I dedicated the majority of my life to this adventure,” said former team captain, Kyla Richey. “It was the start of my journey and the fulfillment of my dreams.”

Richey, who played professionally in France this year, is among several team members who have decided to retire from the National Team program.

“I’d like to thank the athletes for their hard work and dedication to the National Team program over the years.... Without their determination to make an impact, we would not be in the position to play in major tournaments such as VNL. I wish them best of luck moving forward with the knowledge that they are an inspiration to future generations of players.”
