VNL Coming Back to Canada in 2026
Dec. 10, 2025: The excitement of Volleyball Nations League (VNL) returns to Quebec City, Quebec, June 3 to 7 and Ottawa, Ontario, June 10 to 14 in 2026.
The women’s team will play week one in Quebec at the Centre Videotron, and after Ottawa hosted women’s week one last year, the men will play in the nation's capital in 2026 at the Arena at TD Place as they have in previous years.
Full schedule and confirmation of visiting teams will be announced in late January 2026, but fans can secure event packages for Canadian dates before the holidays!
Quebec City (Videotron Centre) full women's event packages are on sale to the public on Dec. 12 at www.gestev.com. An exclusive VC presale of packages is available Dec. 11 (10 am EST) at the following link : https://am.ticketmaster.com/qsd/fr-ca/promotional-page?id=OTU=&camefrom=volcan2026
"There is nothing like playing at home in front of a supportive crowd. The energy around our women’s team was very much felt in Ottawa in the opening week of VNL 2025 and we can’t wait to experience the support in Quebec in June 2026," explains Volleyball Canada’s women’s high-performance director, Shannon Winzer. "Having a strong performance at 2026 VNL is just the foundation we need as we build towards our first Olympic qualification opportunity at the end of the summer."
In both locations, Team Canada will be joined by five other countries to be announced early in 2026. Aside from last year, the men’s team has played in Ottawa since VNL’s inception in 2018.
Ottawa (TD Place) past ticket buyers can watch their inbox for an exclusive men's tournament package presale on Dec. 18, 2025. Packages will go fully on sale to the public in early February 2026 at www.tdplace.ca or ticketmaster.ca.
"The opportunity to compete at home brings tremendous support especially playing in Ottawa, which is the country's capital and very close to our training home base. When you put your hand on your heart, and you can feel what the people in the stands are feeling, it's just incredible," said Dan Lewis, Canada's men's head coach.
"The other major bonus of playing in Canada is that travel is a big part of high-performance sport and can be very difficult on teams. The fact that we can plan, prepare and execute a third of the preliminary phase of the tournament at home is huge. We had an amazing experience last year in Quebec and we are looking forward to kicking off VNL 2026 in Ottawa in June!"
VNL is one of the world’s most prestigious and successful international volleyball tournaments. A total of 116 matches per gender will be played across the preliminary and final phases, with every team playing a minimum of 12 matches.
In the preliminary phase, each participating team will play 12 matches spread across three competition weeks. There will be three pools per week played at three different venues with six teams each.
