Teams and schedule confirmed for the U19 NORCECA Men’s Continental Volleyball Championship in Burnaby
April 30, 2026 – The eight teams competing for the U19 NORCECA Men’s Continental Volleyball Championship, taking place at Simon Fraser University May 12 to 17, have been confirmed. The event will see two pools of four teams. Canada is in a pool with Barbados, Costa Rica and Mexico. Canada’s first scheduled game is on May 12 at 8:00 p.m. PDT against Barbados.
The United States is in a pool with Dominican Republic, Panama and Puerto Rico. The tournament’s first game is at 2:00 p.m. PDT featuring United States against Panama.

Our staff and athletes understand the privilege that comes with representing our country, and the opportunity to do it here in Canada makes it even more meaningful,” said Adam Schriemer, Canada’s U19 Men's Coach. "Volleyball in Canada is in a great place right now, and we’re looking forward to embracing the challenge and competing at a high level throughout this tournament."

This tournament is an important part of the development pathway for athletes with their sights set on the senior National Team program. For the participating teams, the tournament is a step towards qualifying for the next U19 World Championship. The USA won the last U19 continental title in 2024 after winning the final over Cuba. Host country Puerto Rico was awarded bronze after beating Canada.
