April 14, 2026: Volleyball Canada hosted the U18 NORCECA World Championship Qualification Trials this past weekend at the Beach Volleyball High-Performance Centre in Toronto (Downsview).

The event featured 11 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams.

The NORCECA U18 Qualification Tournament will take place in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic (April 23–27). Teams finishing fifth or higher will qualify for the main draw of the U18 World Championships to be held in The Hague, Netherlands (July 8–12).

Results from the U18 Trials:

Men:

1st – Bruno Azevedo / Cameron Gibson (ON) (21-13, 21-10)

2nd – Zander Lackovic / Graydon Wallace (ON)

3rd – Tanner Hart / Marco Zorzetto (ON)

Women:

1st – Natalia Casas / Julia McDougall (NS) (21-18, 21-17)

2nd – Milena Gortnar / Bailey Royston (ON)

3rd – Hannah Hage / Lily Arseneault (ON)

An additional match was required to determine 2nd and 3rd place, as the teams had not faced each other earlier in the tournament. Gortnar / Royston secured the second-place finish.
