U19 Boy's Indoor - 2026 Program Info
The purpose of the U19 National Team program is to identify, select and train a group of athletes who have future Senior National Team potential.

U19 Program Info:
The objective is to select athletes from across Canada with attributes consistent with high performance and the potential to compete for Canada's Men's Senior National Team in the future.

Athlete Eligibility
Athletes MUST:
- Be born in 2009 or later
- Be Canadian citizens and have a valid Canadian passport to January 31, 2027 or later
- Have Canada as their Federation of origin
Athlete identification and selection
Step 1 - Virtual athlete identification process through SportLomo
Athletes must complete the online application form through SportLomo: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
Please ensure that you gather the following information and videos* as they will be required to complete and pay for your registration:
- Height (feet and inches)
- 1-Hand Reach (feet and inches)
- Spike Touch (feet and inches)
- Block Touch (feet and inches)
- Introduction video (under 1 minute: present yourself briefly by stating your name, your age, your club, etc.)
- Highlight video (3-5 minutes: combination of your highlights)
- Full game video (one full set or one full game)
*Videos should be uploaded to a platform like YouTube because you will need a URL link to complete your application. When copy/pasting the link in your application, please ensure that it is working correctly.
Online application Fee: $80+GST CAD
Application Opens: February 2, 2026
Deadline: February 28, 2026 at 11:59pm ET
Step 2: In-person Selection Camp
Based on their virtual applications, 24 to 28 athletes will be invited to an in-person tryout at the Selection Camp in British Colombia (location to be confirmed) from May 4-9, 2026.
Invitations for the in-person Selection Camp will be sent out during the week of April 13, 2026. This is to allow the coaches to travel to events throughout the Country in the previous months.
Selection Camp registration fee: $1100-$1500 + GST
- Includes:
Accommodation from May 4 to 10 (check-in at 4pm, check-out at 11am)
Meals from May 4 to 10 (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Transport from/to the airport from/to the selection camp accommodation on May 4 and May 10
Daily transportation to training sessions from May 5 to 9 (if required) - Does not include:
Travel to the city of the selection camp on May 4
Travel home for non-selected athletes on May 10
Step 3: Final Athlete Selection
14 athletes will be selected to participate in the U19 Men's NORCECA Continental Championship.
The team will be transferred to Burnaby on May 10 for their competition.

May 10-18: U19 Boy's NORCECA Continental Championship in Burnaby, BC
Program fee
$2500-$3000 + GST
Includes:
Training and competition gear
Administration, coaching and IST staff support
Daily travel during training and competition
Accommodation and meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Does not include:
Travel home for athletes on May 18
