Next Gen Men’s Team to Compete at Pan Am Cup

August 14, 2023: This week the NORCECA Men’s Pan American Cup begins at the Astros Arena in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Teams have been divided into three groups (two groups of three and one group of four teams), the top two group winners with the highest ranking will move directly into the semifinals, and the third-ranked group winner along with the second-place teams from each group will compete in the quarterfinals.

Group A consists of the United States, Puerto Rico and Chile. Brazil, Dominican Republic and Canada are in Group B, while Group C is composed of reigning champion Cuba, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.

The preliminary round will take place from Tuesday, August 15, to Thursday, August 17, with four daily matches starting at 2:00 pm (local time).

Canada’s first match is Wednesday against Brazil at 4 pm local time. Canada was the 2022 silver medalist; Cuba is the defending champion.
