Women’s National Excellence Athletes Announced

April 17, 2025: Volleyball Canada has announced the list of 18 National Excellence Program (NEP) athletes for 2025.

"The National Excellence Program is crucial part of the Women’s National Team in identifying and developing top talent in Canada from an early age," explains Volleyball Canada Next Gen Head Coach (women) Matt Krueger. "The current level across Canada is extremely promising, with the selected individuals being exceptional athletes. Women’s volleyball in Canada is entering an exciting era, and I am looking forward to working with the next generation athletes.”

The program officially starts on September 10 and runs until December 19.

Based in Richmond, B.C., the NEP is designed to assist in preparing high-school aged athletes to perform at the highest level of our sport, and to continue their development towards the National Senior Team program and/or playing professional volleyball. More info can be found here.
