March 21, 2025: Volleyball Canada is proud to announce the 2025 inductees to its Hall of Fame.

The Volleyball Canada Hall of Fame includes athletes, builders, coaches, referees and teams who have made major contributions to the development of the sport in Canada and beyond.

The ceremony, presented by NOTHERS – The Award Store, will be held at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel on June 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased by contacting Lucie Leclerc at lucie@volleyball.ca.

The following five individuals will be inducted this year:

Dave's passion for the game extended to the global stage, representing Canada at the Athens and London Olympics and playing a key role in the country's World League hosting efforts. Recognized as an FIVB World League Supervisor, he received Ontario's Special Achievement Award in 1997 and joined the Ontario Volleyball Hall of Fame as a Furlani Legend in 2018.

Randy Gingera – Athlete
Randy Gingera’s volleyball journey took off at the University of Calgary, where he led the Dinos to a National Championship in 1989. That same year, he was named Calgary's Male Athlete of the Year and the CIS (now U Sports) Player of the Year.

Randy went on to represent Canada for nearly a decade, competing at two World Championships and the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Known for his explosive jump serve and leaping ability, he also played professionally worldwide. In 2008, he was inducted into the Volleyball Alberta Hall of Fame.

Neil Johnson – Athlete
Neil Johnson's impact on volleyball extends beyond the court. Born missing his left forearm, Neil became a dominant force for Canada’s men’s standing volleyball team, leading them to a silver medal at the 2000 Paralympics and three consecutive World Championship golds.

He not only played for varsity teams at Mount Royal University and the University of Calgary but also competed professionally in Germany. Neil and his 2000 and 2002 teammates were previously inducted into the Volleyball Canada Hall of Fame in the "team" category.

Wanda Guenette – Athlete
With nearly four decades in the game, Wanda Guenette made her mark in both indoor and beach volleyball. She won a national title at the University of Winnipeg, earned All-Canadian honours, and represented Canada at three Pan American Games and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Her pro career took her across Europe before she transitioned to beach volleyball, competing in her fourth Pan American Games in 2003. Wanda's impact was recognized in 2014 when she was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.
