Canada beat Nicaragua 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-22) for ninth place at the 19th Women’s Pan American Cup on Saturday at the Sonora Arena in Hermosillo, Mexico.

This was Canada’s second win of the tournament, which also came against Nicaragua in pool play.

In their final match, Canada led by a significant 52-25 advantage in attacks, they also held an 8-2 margin in blocks and 5-1 in aces. Canada, however, committed more errors (29-10).
