Left On Friday Unveils 2024 Uniforms for Canada’s Women’s Beach Volleyball Teams

The Canadian premium active swim and lifestyle brand collaborated with Volleyball Canada’s athletes to create the national team uniform

Vancouver, BC, April 23, 2024 – Today Left On Friday, the premium active swimwear and lifestyle brand, unveiled its official national team uniforms designed for Canada’s women’s beach volleyball team for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Beach Pro Tour.

Left On Friday first announced a three-year partnership with Canada’s women’s beach volleyball teams in July 2022 to design and outfit the national teams with their official uniforms, bikinis and accessories as they compete for Canada at events all over the world. Left On Friday unveiled the national uniforms on their e-commerce and social channels today with a campaign featuring Volleyball Canada’s medal hopefuls, Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson.

"Since the beginning, Left On Friday was created to solve for women’s active lifestyles in their daily lives but also sports and athletics," said Laura Low Ah Kee, Co-Founder of Left On Friday. “It’s been a dream come true to support and work with Volleyball Canada to design uniforms that are not only meant to enhance and support elite athletes’ performance but also look good while doing it. We can’t wait to see them in action on the world’s biggest stage this summer.”

As part of the brand’s partnership, Left On Friday worked with Volleyball Canada athletes to help inform the design of the national uniforms and incorporate their feedback into the final product. Using Left On Friday’s signature fabrics, the uniforms feature a one-shoulder design that allows for full freedom of movement in their serving arm, while offering compression and support in the chest, and showcases bold combinations of reds and white.

"Our swimwear is extremely technical when it comes to fabric, fit and function, so we already had a great foundation to work from," said Shannon Savage, Co-Founder of Left On Friday who oversees design and product. "When approaching the uniforms, we had two key priorities: it was important that we deliver on the promise of comfort, which would in turn allow the athletes to focus entirely on their performance. Secondly, we want them to stand out in their big moment."

"We are proud to be associated with this Canadian company that is keenly focused on designing innovative and functional beach wear that allows our women's teams to perform at the highest levels on the world stage."

Mark Eckert — President and Chief Executive Officer of Volleyball Canada

This Friday, April 26, Left On Friday will also release a "Super Fan" collection of unisex rugby shirts paired with the brand’s activewear range designed to wear while cheering on all the teams, countries and players this summer.
